To The Fat Of The Earth, To The Sun's Little Sister

Ilona Nyisztor is a folk singer, teacher and cultural organizer. Born in 1956 in a Csángó village of Szekler origin in the Tazló valley, Pusztina. (Today:  Eastern region in Romania in Moldova)

She finished his elementary school in his native village and then, from the fifth grade onwards, attended the Bacau Music School. She graduated from high school in 1977 as teacher. She worked as a kindergarten teacher first in the village of Dumbrava in Bacău County, and since 1990 in the town of Onyest. She has performed as a folk singer at various events and festivals. In 1994 she won the first prize in the folklore contest "Wants to be Dawn in Satu Mare."

She has sung in several Hungarian-inhabited settlements in the Carpathian Basin, and has been invited to Finland, Germany, Switzerland, France and the United States.
