Ceylon & Henry Wallin
Dances from Uppland

This folk music that Ceylon and Henry has learned from their father Albin Wallin comes mainly from Lövstabruk, Harg and Valö. Albin Wallin was born in Gålamora in Northeast Uppland and he learned folk tunes from his grandfather and grandmother. He listened a lot of folk tunes in the time of his childhood. His family had always fiddle, nyckelharpa and accordeon as well so there were always some instrument to play on.  There aren't any reliable source of these tunes which were played there in Gålamora. They are old folk tunes, some of them are from 18 and 19-th century. These tunes had played many musicians in their own variations. Nowadays there aren't so many folk musicians and too bad they weren't recorded. Albin's sons has learn them from him who has played until he was 75 year old. This record has made in 1972.
