Karl Johan Grönstedt, (born 18 February 1912 in Nora, Ångermanland, died 13 June 1983) in Högalids parish, Stockholm, was a Swedish accordion player.
He is considered one of the foremost accordion players in Sweden and began playing dance music at the age of twelve. In addition to becoming Swedish accordion champion in 1933, he received about ten first prizes in other competitions between 1932 and 1944. In the early 1930s he came to Stockholm and played at Vanadisteatern, Kastenhof and Virveln. He had his own orchestra which was based in Ådalen from 1936 to 1941. His brother Erling Grönstedt was also an accordion player.
Karl Grönstedt has composed a lot of accordion music, including the well-known "Månsken över Ångermanälven", "Hoppa lätt" and "Spelmanswalsen". He appeared in the film "100 accordions and a girl."
Grönstedt is mentioned in Povel Ramel's Birth of the gammeldans from the revue På avigan (1966).
Karl Grönstedt ran a shop at Borgargatan 4 until 1975 in a street location that was later taken over by Högalids Bilservice.
